  • Extended European Shipping:‌ Shipping services to other countries within the ‌European Union (EU)‌ are available. Please note that delivery times and costs may vary for these destinations.
  • Processing Time:‌ All orders are processed and prepared for shipment from our warehouse within ‌1-2 business days‌ (Monday through Friday, excluding public holidays in France) after payment confirmation and order verification.
  • Order Verification:‌ In rare cases, we may contact you via the email or phone number provided during checkout to verify order details before shipping, which could slightly extend the processing time. This step helps ensure security and accuracy.

3. Shipping Methods, Costs & Estimated Delivery Times

We partner with reliable carriers such as ‌La Poste / Colissimo, DPD, or UPS‌ to deliver your packages. The available shipping options, estimated delivery times, and associated costs will be calculated and displayed at checkout based on your delivery address and the size/weight of your order.

They are estimates provided by our carriers and are not guaranteed. Delays can occur due to unforeseen carrier issues, customs clearance (for international orders), incorrect address details, or events outside our control (e.g., severe weather, strikes).
  • EU & International Orders:‌ For orders shipped outside of France but within the EU, delivery typically takes ‌5-10 business days‌. Additional customs declarations may be required, but no import duties should apply for intra-EU shipments. Shipping costs are calculated at checkout.

5. Shipping Address Accuracy

It is ‌your responsibility‌ to provide a complete, correct, and deliverable shipping address at checkout. Please double-check your address before finalizing your order. LIVING SOFAS is not responsible for orders lost, delayed, or returned due to an incorrect, incomplete, or undeliverable address provided by the customer.

  • Address Correction:‌ If you realize you have entered the wrong address, contact us ‌immediately‌ at groundation@living-sofas.com with your order number. If the order has not yet been processed for shipping, we may be able to update it. We cannot modify the address once the package has been handed over to the carrier.
  • Failed Delivery Attempts:‌ If a delivery attempt fails because no one was available to receive the package, the carrier will typically leave a notice with instructions for rescheduling delivery or picking up the package from a local depot. Packages that remain unclaimed may be returned to us. In such cases, reshipping fees will apply.

6. Delivery Issues, Damaged or Lost Packages

We strive for a perfect delivery experience, but sometimes issues arise. Here is how we handle them:

  • Inspecting Your Delivery:‌ Upon receiving your package, please inspect it for ‌visible external damage‌ before accepting it from the courier. If the package appears significantly damaged, you have the right to note this on the delivery receipt or refuse the delivery. Please also open your package promptly upon receipt to check the items inside.
  • Reporting a Problem:
    • Damaged/Missing Items:‌ If items are damaged or missing from your package, please contact our customer service team within ‌48 hours‌ of delivery. Provide your order number, a description of the issue, and clear photographs of the damaged product and its packaging. This allows us to file a claim with the carrier and arrange for a replacement or refund as appropriate.
    • Lost in Transit:‌ If your tracking information shows no movement for an unusually long time (e.g., 7 business days past the estimated delivery date for domestic shipments), please contact us. We will initiate an investigation with the carrier. If the package is confirmed lost, we will reship your items at no cost to you (subject to availability) or provide a full refund.

7. Customs, Duties, and Taxes for EU Customers

  • Shipments Within the European Union:‌ For orders shipped from our warehouse in France to another EU member state, ‌no customs duties apply‌. The price you pay at checkout includes French VAT (Value Added Tax). You will not be charged additional import taxes upon delivery within the EU.
  • Shipments to Non-EU Countries:‌ We currently do not offer regular shipping to countries outside the European Union. For any exceptional inquiries, please contact us directly.
